We welcome patients from all over the world and work closely with medical referrers and sponsors including country embassies, country health offices and military offices. We also welcome private individuals wishing to travel to the UK for expert and specialist treatment.
We can assess suitability for treatment based on the provision of a medical report with imaging. As we are an international centre of excellence, and many of our patients have highly complex problems, we offer an approximate treatment cost rather than a fixed price package of care.
In support of a visa application, once a patient’s case has been accepted, we can provide a letter regarding your illness or medical condition, the planned treatment, how many consultations there will be, how long the treatment is expected to take and how much the treatment will cost.
INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR REFERRALS
We request patients, embassies or sponsors provide the following information:
- Patient name
- Patient date of birth
- Patient gender
- Patient home address and (if applicable) temporary UK address
- Patient telephone number
- Patient email address
- Funding details (including insurer's name if funding through medical insurance)
- Patient GP details (UK only)
- Medical report with up to date imaging
REVIEW OF THE REFERRAL AND ESTIMATE OF COSTS
Once the referral has been received, the information is forwarded to an appropriate Consultant specialist (or the requested specialist). The consultant will review the case and if the patient is assessed as suitable for treatment, we will provide you with an estimate for the cost of treatment.
FINAL ESTIMATE AND CONFIRMING YOUR APPOINTMENT DATE
We will confirm the appointment date and time along with a final cost estimate. It is important to understand that this is only an estimate. It is possible your costs may be more or less depending on any relevant tests, investigations and course of treatment determined by the consultant once they have seen you.
SUPPORT OF VISA APPLICATION
Once your appointment has been confirmed and funds have been received we will issue you with a ‘confirmation to treat letter’. The letter will include the details you require to help with your visa application process.
Whilst we may assist with the visa application as outlined above, we have no influence on UK Immigration Policies. Securing an appointment and receiving an invitation for treatment does not guarantee that your visa application will be successful.
An interpreter may be booked for all patients whose first language is not english. We also have a 24 hour telephone translation service available.
